What We Do

Interior design boards on a wall showing floor plans, interior photos, and architectural sketches, with a table in front containing various papers and books.

We transform unloved buildings and wasted spaces into places where life can thrive, creating environments in which people blend harmoniously with the local community and help grow the micro economy.

Our developments offer an exceptional rental living experience and are sometimes complemented by resident amenities, retail uses or workspace. Classed as Build To Rent (BTR), the distinctive homes that we create will stand the test of time because we are steadfast in our commitment to great design and high-quality workmanship.

How We Do It

Our approach is to acquire brownfield sites in locations where the demand for high quality rental homes is rising and where, ultimately, people can enjoy living. These pillars of sustainability are key in unlocking the kind of value and potential that sometimes only we see.

Grifo is a vertically integrated business, meaning that we directly control and deliver the end-to-end process encompassing land acquisition, planning, funding, construction and operation. This allows us to exert influence over the quality, timing, cost and customer experience of our neighbourhoods with greater strength, diligence and foresight – which is essential to our long-term ownership and guardianship of the portfolio.

Guiding Principles

Impact

We pride ourselves on a culture of positive impact. Residents, our communities, team-members, local authorities, lenders, investors; the more people we support by investing in our places, the better.

Individuality

We care deeply about the individual needs of people. We obsess about the individuality of the places we’re enhancing. We embrace and actively contribute to the unique communities we’re a part of. The world is full of generalisations but we don't make them or subscribe to them.

Sustainability

Our horizons are far away but we want to get there quickly. We exist to serve property, place and planet – this demands that we consider in great detail how the qualities of our buildings, locations and the wider world can be preserved for future generations and this invariably means taking meaningful action today.
