Grifo visits Technogym Village in Cesena, Italy
In May, we joined Technogym at their headquarters in Cesena, Italy – an invitation that offered a deeper look into the thinking, innovation, and philosophy behind one of the world’s leading wellness brands. In attendance from Grifo Developments was a cross section of our team Tony Kandert (Construction Manager), Max Watson (Senior Quantity Surveyor) and Matthew Bates (Managing Director) attended across a two-day programme at the Technogym Village.
Set against a striking landscape, the Village is more than a headquarters. It is a physical expression of Technogym’s commitment to wellness, combining design, engineering and user experience into a single, cohesive ecosystem. From the outset, what stood out was the clarity of purpose – a business built not just around products, but around a belief in the long-term value of wellbeing.
The visit provided a full immersion into the Technogym model. We explored their history and evolution, gained insight into product development and testing, and experienced first-hand the systems that underpin their digital ecosystem. Particular highlights included the product testing facilities and the seamless integration between hardware and the Technogym app – both reinforcing the depth of investment behind the brand.
Equally impactful was the team itself. Across every part of the organisation, there is a consistent and genuine passion for the brand, the product, and the end user. It is this authenticity that differentiates Technogym and gives confidence in the longevity of their platform. It’s not something that can be manufactured – it is clearly embedded within the culture.
As we continue to progress our residential portfolio, this partnership plays a key role in enhancing the resident experience. Our existing residents benefit from access to the Technogym app, bringing a high-quality, connected wellness offering into their day-to-day lives. Looking ahead, this will be complemented by the delivery of a dedicated Technogym gym facility at Chalk House, currently under construction, further strengthening the amenity provision at scheme level.
The visit reinforced our belief in the strength of the Technogym proposition. Their alignment with our approach to design, quality and resident experience is clear, and we are confident this partnership will continue to add meaningful value across our developments.
