Successful Collaboration with RLG Residential: A Nine-Month Journey in Build to Rent Excellence

Over the past nine months, we have had the privilege of working closely with consultants Rachel Golby and Katy Orton from RLG Residential, who have worked with the likes of Dandara, Apo, Clay Life, Savills and Right Now Residential. Their contribution has been both strategic and hands-on, bringing fresh insight, operational rigor, and collaborative energy to our projects.

Rachel and Katy’s remit covered a wide scope of operational and strategic priorities, including:

• Operational Financial Review

• Maintenance Strategy

• OPEX Planning for our in-development sites to support accurate forecasting and budgeting.

• Supported with creation of new Operational Team

• Creation of end-to-end customer journey framework, covering every stage from lead to lease, through to full operational delivery.

• Produced comprehensive Health & Safety and risk assessment templates to support operational compliance.

• Resident Engagement – Designed a resident survey to capture valuable feedback, alongside a customer journey template to standardise resident experience.

• Performance Metrics – Proposed a set of bonus-based KPIs for both leasing and operations teams to drive performance and accountability.

Rachel and Katy’s working style has been marked by proactivity, deep sector knowledge, and a supportive, collaborative approach. Whether meeting in person or engaging via Teams, they demonstrated diligence, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering meaningful outcomes.

This partnership has been instrumental in moving our Build to Rent strategy forward. Their ability to blend strategic thinking with practical solutions has left us in a stronger, more confident position for the future.
